ARBOSeal GZ Tape – Butyl Glazing Tape

The ARBOSeal GZ Tape is a product of the ARBOPROTECT Pro® category and is used as a flat-section preformed butyl strip that deforms under moderate pressure with appreciable surface tack and recovery – the ideal solution for compression joints in cladding, roofing and the glazing of double-glazed units into timber and externally beaded metal frames.

The ARBOSeal GZ Tape combines reliable compression sealing with long-term durability. Its butyl formulation provides surface tack and recovery under moderate pressure, delivering a watertight, flexible seal for glazing, cladding and roofing joints.

How long is the service life of ARBOPROTECT Pro® membrane and tape products?
ARBOPROTECT Pro® EPDM membranes have an expected service life of up to 50 years under normal conditions. Foam tape and butyl strip products carry a service life of 20 years or more. All products should be stored in original packaging in a dry, cool environment away from direct sunlight. Are ARBOPROTECT Pro® products compatible with sensitive substrates?
Yes. ARBOPROTECT Pro® EPDM-based products are solvent-free and compatible with sensitive substrates including natural stone, paint finishes, glass and concrete. They do not affect solvent-sensitive paint finishes and are compatible with the full range of ARBO® adhesives and sealants.

ARBO® Technical Services provides guidance on product selection, substrate preparation, primer requirements and correct installation methods for the ARBOPROTECT Pro® range.
