ARBOFLEX® PU is an exceptionally versatile liquid waterproofing system, engineered to perform across a diverse range of structural challenges and roof configurations:

New Build Projects

Its cold-applied nature makes it highly suitable for new build sites where naked flames and hot works are restricted. The system easily adapts to concrete, timber, and metal substrates, providing a continuous, long-lasting monolithic membrane right from the start.

Living Roofs & PV Installations

Engineered to provide a robust, seamless foundation for environmental upgrades. ARBOFLEX® PU fully supports extensive, intensive, and modular green roof systems. Additionally, the green roof acts as a heat sink, preventing integrated photovoltaic (PV) modules from overheating, thereby maximizing solar energy efficiency.

Complex Refurbishments

Particularly effective for upgrading existing aging flat roofs. Because ARBOFLEX® PU can be applied directly as an overlay over timber, bituminous membranes, asphalt, and PVC, it eliminates the need for costly and disruptive strip-outs. It perfectly seals damaged areas and easily navigates dense rooftop plant installations.

Balconies and Terraces

Thanks to its excellent flexibility, mechanical strength, and wear-resistance, ARBOFLEX® PU is an ideal choice for roof terrace applications. It effectively accommodates building movement and can securely support protective slabs or decking on pedestals.

ARBOFLEX® 225 gsm Matt is specially designed to increase adhesion and strength of continuous waterproofing membranes even on concrete or mortar substrates with residual moisture. The matting also reinforces the liquid membrane at detail work or critical points & areas.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

• To be used in all field areas.

• To reinforce details such as upstands, internal outlets, fissures, expansion joints, active cracks, and insulation joints.

• Reinforced expansion joints, active cracks, insulation joints.

ARBOFLEX® PU ACCELERATOR

ARBOFLEX® PU Accelerator is a single coat additive applied to the ARBOFLEX® PU membrane to enhance its physical and mechanical properties. It significantly accelerates drying times, even in low temperatures and increases the mechanical properties.

ARBOFLEX® PU PRIMER

ARBOFLEX PU PRIMER is a single component, low viscosity, high solids content polyurethane resin. It has been specifically designed to increase bonding and improve the surface levelling of the substrates prior to the application of ARBOFLEX PU.

ARBOFLEX® PU THICKENER

ARBOFLEX® PU THICKENER is a polymeric thickener, developed specifically as a liquid additive for the polyurethane liquid membrane ARBOFLEX® PU to prevent sagging while drying. For use on vertical or sloped surfaces, providing thixotropic properties.

In order to achieve the desired proportion, mix 800 ml of thickener per 20 kg of ARBOFLEX PU.

ARBOFLEX® PU UV PROTECT

ARBOFLEX® PU UV Protect is a high-performance, single-component aliphatic resin specifically designed to provide long-lasting UV protection for ARBOFLEX® PU waterproofing membranes on flat, sloped roofs, terraces and balconies subject to light foot or maintenance traffic. This easy-to-apply coating forms a flexible, seamless layer with a satin finish, enhancing the durability and extending the lifespan of your ARBOFLEX® PU system.

ARBOFLEX® PU TOP COAT

ARBOFLEX® PU TOP COAT 2C is a two-component aliphatic polyurethane resin designed to protect heavily used surfaces. It cures to form a hard, continuous film with a high-gloss finish, delivering outstanding resistance to abrasion, stress, and extreme weather. It is ideal as a protective coating on traffic decks and industrial floors.

ARBOFLEX® Liquid Carrier Membrane

ARBOFLEX® Liquid Carrier Membrane is a polyester reinforced roofing base layer, saturated and coated with a high-quality SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) modified bitumen. The membrane is protected with a composite aluminium foil and an integral glass-fibre mat on its upper layer, whilst the bottom layer features a self-adhesive compound coating. It is designed to act as a carrier membrane within a multi-layer built-up ARBOFLEX® PU roofing system.

• Cold-applied, self-adhesive application with an easy-peel removable film.

• Tough polyester reinforcement provides additional dimensional stability and mechanical strength.

Good to know about ARBOFLEX® PU

Do I need to strip the existing roof during a refurbishment?
In most cases, no. ARBOFLEX® PU is designed with excellent overlay capabilities and can be applied directly over existing substrates such as aged bitumen, asphalt, timber, and PVC single ply. This significantly reduces waste disposal costs and avoids disruption to building occupants.
How does the system benefit solar panel (PV) installations?
ARBOFLEX® PU provides a highly durable foundation for integrated Green Roof and PV installations. When combined, the green roof acts as a natural heat sink. This preserves cooler ambient rooftop temperatures, preventing the PV modules from overheating and ensuring maximum solar energy generation.
How do I prepare the roof surface before application?
The substrate must be entirely dry, clean, and free from dust, grease, moss, or loose chippings. Any cracks, splits, or large voids must be filled beforehand using ARBOFLEX® PU Sealant. It is strictly advised not to use silicone sealants, as they are incompatible.
What is the expected lifespan and are guarantees available?
High-quality ARBOFLEX® PU liquid waterproofing systems provide long-term protection, with a service life often exceeding 25 years. We also provide a range of market-leading guarantee options, including a 20-year guarantee when the system is sealed with the ARBOFLEX® PU UV Protect coat.
What weather and temperature conditions are required for installation?
The system should not be installed in extreme temperatures or if frost is due. It is important that the substrate itself (not just the ambient air temperature) is between 5°C and 35°C during application. Unopened products should also be stored away from direct sunlight and frost.
When should I choose liquid waterproofing over traditional methods?
ARBOFLEX® PU is particularly advantageous for sites with restricted access, dense rooftop plant installations, or where naked flames are prohibited. Because the contractor only needs to bring the material tins to the site, it eliminates the need for noisy generators, extensive cabling, and heavy equipment.
