Structural Waterproofing Standards

There are a number of standards that need to be met when waterproofing to ensure only the best standards are met to prevent any unwanted damages or potentially worse.

The British Standard 8102:2022 has 3 types of waterproofing when trying to prevent water entering a structure below ground level e.g. a basement; Type A, Type B, and Type C.

  • Type A Waterproofing – Barrier Protection (Tanking)

  • Type B Waterproofing – Structurally Integral Protection

  • Type C Waterproofing – Drained Protection
