Kingsway Hove is a landmark eight storey residential development on Hove seafront creating 58 luxury apartments.

The project has transformed the former Texaco Garage site into a desirable living accommodation complete with sea views and a conveniently located retail unit at ground floor level. The green roofs create a visual living space in this otherwise space-restricted area of the city.

HERTALAN Easy Cover 1.5mm EPDM membrane was installed to waterproof the flat roofs at various levels of the building, with a total area coverage of approximately 1500 M². HERTALAN was chosen by the project’s main/roofing contractor L R Lima Construction, as it provides an easy to install and cost-effective waterproofing solution. The contractor opted to use HERTALAN made to measure sheets, which were supplied prefabricated to the exact dimensions. This ensured that the membranes were quick to install and reduced the number of seams and joints within the waterproofing layer.  In addition, CARLISLE CM also supplied a suitable (extensive) green roof design which requires limited ongoing maintenance and suitable for a coastal location. HERTALAN EPDM membranes are 100% root retardant and long service life which makes them ideal for all kinds of green roof systems.
