EHS-Manager / Manager Environment, Health & Safety (*gn)

based at our headquarters in Hamburg-Harburg harbour

This awaits you with us:

  • Assist Management in strategic planning across the Division which includes data analysis and problem solving 
  • Acts as a coach and mentor to CCM European site leaders regarding safety tools, concepts, and mindset
  • Work side by side with CCM European Site Safety Experts implementing and maintaining site-specific integrated safety plans, EHS standard work and other Carlisle safety programs
  • Conduct comprehensive policy audits throughout all CCM Europe and other Carlisle facilities
  • Manage/execute targeted environmental, health and safety projects throughout CCM Europe and CCM
  • Attend required Divisional and CCM management team meetings and safety committees
  • Prepare, implement and execute safety training, on-boarding and mentoring
  • Serve as primary advisor for all safety issues for CCM Europe leadership teams, supervisors and local safety committees
  • Maintain close contact with authorities and industry interest groups Maintain company compliance with all appropriate governmental safety regulations and maintain appropriate reporting and accountability systems
  • Lead, track and review all CCM Europe EHS incidents for complete root causes, trends, corrective action completion and Divisional read-across applicability
  • Participate in the strategic planning of manufacturing process and facility modifications to ensure that potential environmental and safety related consequences are considered

What you bring along:

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field and / or relevant equivalent education
  • EHS related certification by a professional EHS association preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a health and safety role, manufacturing or processing preferred – multi site EHS management experience is preferred
  • Ability to forge the right relationships with associates, regulatory officials and corporate executives to communicate the company’s safety and environmental health policies and accomplishments
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to build consensus and positively influence a diverse group of co-workers without direct control
  • Basic environmental compliance is preferred but not required, must have willingness to expand current knowledge to include other topics
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Willing for travel activity (Approximately 50% overnight travel)
  • Fluency in English and German
