RIBA approves two new CPDs

RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) have approved two new CARLISLE® Construction Material’s (CCM) CPDs in design, construction & technology section as  RIBA core curriculum.

The first CPD is titled as EPDM for Facade Sealing Applications. This CPD looks at where EPDM membranes can be used, their advantages and how to specify appropriate methods of installation. It also covers innovative design ideas and the environmental credentials of EPDM. It will help you to understand the following topics:
– Understand EPDM
– Understand the specification of EPDM for the building envelope
– Understand how EPDM waterproofing systems can be installed
– Understand the diverse uses of EPDM in construction
– Understand innovative case study assessment
– Understand the benefits of manufacturer warranties

Second CPD is titled as EPDM Building Envelope Waterproofing. This CPD looks at where EPDM membranes can be used, their advantages and how to specify appropriate methods of installation. It also covers innovative design ideas and the environmental credentials of EPDM. It will help you to understand the following topics:
– Understand EPDM
– Understand the specification of EPDM for the building envelope
– Understand how EPDM waterproofing systems can be installed
– Understand the diverse uses of EPDM in construction
– Understand innovative case study assessment
– Understand the benefits of manufacturer warranties

The existing CPD is The Advantages of EPDM Single Ply Roofing Membranes. This CPD will cover the following topics:
– An introduction to the use of EPDM waterproof membranes
– Flat roof construction and design
– Environmental credentials of EPDM
– EPDM Installation methods
– Case studies of EPDM waterproofing projects
