Greenpeace UK’s London HQ was in need of a roof refurbishment. To complement Greenpeace’s ethos they wanted a roofing system that would provide them with environmental and ecological benefits along with being durable. CCM offered an ideal solution in the RESITRIX Hybrid EPDM system.

The Project

The roof is approximately 300m² and instead of an overlay, the decision was made to strip up existing coverings and renew it completely. As a result of standing water on the roof, CCM measured up for new tapered insulation and with the help of supply partner TaperedPlus, designed and delivered a new scheme, meeting a strict .12W/m2K thermal requirement. Parapets were also repaired with plywood to receive new waterproofing.

Products included in the roofing system are Alutrix VCL, TaperedPlus insulation, Resitrix SKW fully adhered membrane and our WALKWAY Membrane.

Despite a two-year delay in the start of the project, once underway, it was completed on time and within budget.
